Tymor yr Hydref
Dros y tymor yma rydym ni wedi bod yn dysgu amdanom ni'n hunain a sut rydym ni'n edrych. Mae'r plant wedi darlunio lluniau o wynebau nhw gan dalu sylw i liw'u llygaid a gwallt. Mae dosbarth Meithrin wedi bod yn brysur yn dysgu eu rhifau a llythrennau. Rydym ni'n dilyn cynllun Tric a Chlic wrth ddysgu llythrennau gan gychwyn hefo'r pecyn melyn ac yna'n gwthio fyny'r lliwiau gwahanol. Mae dosbarth Derbyn wedi bod yn gweithio'n galed yn dysgu rhifau 1 i 20 gan ganolbwyntio ar rifau un yn fwy, un yn llai. Fel dosbarth, mae pawb wedi bod yn edrych ar newidiadau'r Hydref gan gasglu adnoddau naturiol a sylwi ar y lliwiau'n newid. Cafodd dosbarth Lili Wen Fach gymaint o hwyl yn dysgu am y dinosoriaid, cymerodd pawb rhan yn ein hwythnos greadigol gan greu dinosoriaid enfawr. O fewn y tymor yma rydym ni hefyd wedi bod yn dysgu am 'Diolchgarwch' a'r stori'r Nadolig.
Over this past term we have been learning about ourselves and how we look. The children have been creating pictures of their own faces by focussing on their eye and hair colour. Dosbarth Meithrin have been really busy learning their numbers and letters. We follow the Tric a Chlic plan in school when introducing letters where the children start on the yellow pack and work their way up the different colours. Dosbarth Derbyn have been working hard learning number 1-20 by focussing on one more, one less. As a class, everyone has been looking at the changes of the autumn and collecting different natural resources and looking at all the changes in colour. Lili Wen Fach have had lots of fun learning about dinosaurs, everyone took part in our creative week by creating giant dinosaurs. Within this term we have also been learning about Thanksgiving and the Christmas story.
Tymor y Gwanwyn
Mae tymor y Gwanwyn wedi bod yn un brysur i ddosbarth Lili Wen Fach. Rydym ni wedi bod wrthi’n coginio llwythi o bethau gwahanol fel bisgedi, cacennau Cymreig a chacennau crispi. Rydym ni wedi dathlu nifer o bethau gwahanol yn ystod y tymor yma yn dechrau hefo Diwrnod Santes Dwynwen, Dydd Gŵyl Dewi, Sul y Mamau a Stori’r Pasg. Rhwng yr holl ddigwyddiadau yma mae’r plant wedi bod yn gweithio’n galed yn dysgu sut i gyfri fesul 2, creu llinellau rhif, pwyso cynhwysion gwahanol a dysgu sut i greu setiau o 5 a 10. Rydym ni hefyd wedi bod yn dysgu am stori’r Iâr Fach Goch gan ddefnyddio strategaeth Pie Corbett i adrodd y stori. Wedyn, wnaethom ni symud ymlaen i ddysgu am stori Gelert, Y Ci Ffyddlon. Cafodd y plant gymaint o hwyl yn dysgu am gastelli a Chymru. I orffen tymor prysur, roedd y plant wedi cymryd rhan yn sioe Dewin o’r Os gan ddysgu’r holl ganeuon a chanu’n swynol a’r noson y sioe. Da iawn chi pawb!
The spring term has been a very busy for dosbarth Lili Wen Fach. We have been busy cooking all sorts of things such as biscuits, welsh cakes and crispy cakes. We have celebrated many occasions over this past term starting with Diwrnod Santes Dwynwen our welsh valentine, Dydd Gŵyl Dewi, Mother’s day and the story of Easter. In between all of these events the children have been working hard learning how to count in sets of 2, creating number lines, weighing different ingredients and learning how to create sets of 5 and 10. We have also been learning about the Little Red Hen and using Pie Corbett’s techniques to recite the story. We then moved on to learn about the story of Gelert the faithful dog. The children had lots of fun learning all about castles and Wales. To finish a very busy term, the children took part in the show, The Wizard of Oz, by learning all of the songs and singing beautifully on the night. Well done everyone!
